Mai-Otome 1

Basically, during the begining, there is a war raged between two forces, one that can summon slaves and the other one is believed to be Otome. Well when fast forwarding, there is a women who is deeply injured with a gash through her side and she is running through the forest with a capsule in her arms that has a baby in it. She manages to reach a river where she places the capsule into it, as it floats away. Unfortunately there were people looking for her and she ends up getting captured.

14 years later, Arika is traveling through the desert and she stumbles over some sand and trips. Well at that moment a ship passes by, and the passengers are captivated by weird creatures, leaving Arika unnoticed. When seeing the ship pass by, Arika realizes that she ran out of water and decides to follow the liner. Upon seeing a drink that was given to Nina Wong, Arika acts on natural instincts and decided to head toward it. Well since she is extremely clumsy at points, she trips over the table and knocks the whole thing over, splashing some of the cream soda onto Nina.

At the mean time, Natsuki is conversing to Shizuru about the Princess procession celebration. Apparently a group called Shibaratsu is scheming something that has to do with the incident 14 years ago. In the castle there is trouble because the "HIME" ran away from the castle. Back to Arika, she follows Nina onto a train and finds herself in a city. She explains how she is looking for her mother, who was an Otome that attended Garderobe Academy. However something disturbed them when they saw Mashiro on the rooftop talking to some strange and suspiscious men. Mashiro jumps off the roof and Nina plus Arika saves her before the Hime almost hit the ground. While escaping from the servents, they find themselves near planes. Mashiro shows a ring to Nina confirming that she is actually a royalty and every Otome has to obey her commands.


Well somewhere just above them, a strange guy is summoning a slave to attack the girls. Mashiro kisses Nina's earrings, therefore activating her Otome robes, but she was out matched by the slave. The gang ended up in an airplane, which started floating because of Arika's pendant. Being notified of the situation, Natsuki, Shizuru, and Akane rushes to the situation. Natsuki gives them orders about what their roles are. Shizuru slices the jet in half with her weapon, while Akane saves the girls from plummeting to the deaths. After checking that his daughter was ok, Seigei is captivated by Arika's strange pendant. However Arika did not care because she was too busy admiring Shizuru.

Opinions!
What can I say, when I first watched mai hime I was totally hooked! Mai Otome is somewhat the same, but I am going to say "It might be ever better than the first" I give everything out of ten! Haha I might be exaggerating a little bit, but seriously this anime was just that good. As for the baby, I am pretty sure its safe to say its Arika considering she is wearing the same necklace and is informed that her mom attended Guarderope Academy.

Natsuki and Shizuru is back!! I bet everyone is extremely happy about this because I know I am! NATSUKI AND SHIZURU FOREVER!! Haha! Also doesn't anyone thinks that Natsuki and Shizuru should switch spots considering their personalities in Mai HiME. I guess that might take a lil bit taking used to.
Arika-she can be annoying at times, with all the asking of what is that and this...but I can understand because its basically like the first time she has ever been to the city.
Nina Wong-I thought that Sergei(Tate's look-alike) and Natsuki had a kid, they are totally alike. However I think she should lighten up a bit, but I guess you can't when there is a lot of expectations riding on your shoulders.
Mashiro-WOW" I totally was not expecting the bratty behavior from her.
Mikoto-Dude she has got to be the coolest character in the story, but I don't think she will get a lot of screen time though. She is a fat talking cat. :P
